I am an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) in the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.
My research primarily focuses on personnel selection; in particular, how to design interviews to make accurate judgments and predictions about job applicants. I also study various forms of job performance and social behaviors at work. This includes, for example, team/coworker communication behaviors and the reasons why some people choose to help coworkers or take the initiative to perform extra work tasks.
Some of the outlets publishing my work include Human Resource Management, Journal of Business and Psychology, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, International Journal of Hospitality Management, and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, among others. I have also presented my work internationally at the Academy of Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology, and Canadian Psychological Association conferences.
I received my PhD in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology at the University of Calgary in 2022.
